Bow is the third album from Two Dark Birds, the critically acclaimed band from Pakatakan Mountain in The Catskills. Bow is a cycle of songs about openings and awakenings, about the spirit of nature and the nature of spirit.
“..a luminous and ambitious collection of poet-grade and quietly experimental folk music.” - HV1
"...there certainly is a magic to it, a kind of backwoods witchery that the only the best of the style can really capture. Steve Koester is one such luminary. Bow displays that spiritual connection to the land in a way his previous works have only touched on." - Culture Collide
“…poised, structured, self-aware, ambitious.” - DVeight
“…brimming with pastoral energy and light.” - Chronogram
Recorded in Woodstock, NY with Producer/Engineer Chris Maxwell, Bow was written, performed & produced by Steve Koester with the assistance of Jeff Lipstein, Josh Roy Brown, Marco Benevento, Carrie Bradley, Sibel Finn, Don Piper, Jason Mills, Sandy Bell, and Jude Webre.
