Yesterday I spent a wonderful couple hours talking to Marc Delgado. Marc is a gentleman and a scholar. No for real, in addition to being one of my favorite breathing songwriters, he's a brilliant poet and fiction writer. He's in the MFA program at Bard and he has this rad radio show.
It's not often that you get to go in super deep on the music and process without a tight time constraint. We covered inspiratons from Sly to Nick Lowe to Aldous Harding. And hit all my personal bases, from early Punchdrunk to this new Two Dark Birds. He even roped me into reading a couple poems.
